Network Operations Center Engineer II

About The Job
The position of NOC Engineer II requires an engineering-focused technical professional who will provide technical support and guidance to customers. The ideal candidate is technical with some hands-on experience, customer focused, proactive, with the drive and determination to learn about emerging network and security technologies. This position is suited to an entry-level engineer looking to expand their knowledge and grow their career.

- Provides Level 1 and 2 support for network alerts and related problems
- Troubleshoot network issues and monitor managed client networks
- Perform proactive maintenance and log review of network and security appliances
- Install and configure network devices: routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
- Escalates advanced issues to Cisco TAC and Senior Engineers
- High School Diploma or equivalency, Bachelor's Degree is preferred
- An active CCNA certification is required
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching protocols and operations
- Proficiency with Cisco IOS configuration and recommended best practices
- Ability to use essential network troubleshooting tools
- Passion to learn and grow professionally
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills
- Ability to multitask
- Strong oral and written English communication skills
2+ years of hands-on experience working with Cisco networking equipment, including troubleshooting of network-related issues including documentation.
Physical Demands
- Light physical effort (lift/carry up to 20 lbs.)
- Occasional standing/walking
- Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
