Are you a Postdoctoral Material Scientist/ Engineer with experience in corrosion or materials looking to take the first steps in your career with a leading and global consultancy where you will have a direct impact on cutting edge research for state of the art and future Nuclear Energy projects?

On offer is an opportunity to step into an expanding team joining a global consultancy who have a big presence across the US who want to hire a Materials Scientist or Corrosion Engineer looking to utilise their Masters or Ph.D in real-world commercial research projects.

This company have been a long established materials science consultancies in the US, holding a robust reputation in solving complex challenges through development and optimisation. This consultancy are growing their team to meet increasing demands of their clients bought upon by their ability to deliver real-world solutions in Nuclear Energy, Defense, Aerospace and Healthcare.


In this role you will join a seasoned and expert research team to meet the unique challenges from their clients.


THE ROLE:


• Design and conduct multiple corrosive environment (Boiling and Pressurised Water Reactor) experiments on nuclear-grade materials

• Operate test rigs for long-term exposure testing as well as innovate testing approaches and processes

• Analyze post-test materials and specimens with advanced microscopy and characterization techniques and tools as well as create technical reports.


THE PERSON:


• A Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Corrosion, Nuclear Engineering or Chemical Engineering.

• Experience in high and low temperature stress/ corrosion mechanisms and experiments including design and execution

• Excellent writing and communication skills with a passion for innovation and delivery
