The Marketing & Special Events specialist role will be responsible for executing sponsor activations and all promotional execution for all premiere and/or special events. Reporting directly to the VP, Special Events & Operations. The specialist will manage all elements of sponsorship activations for premieres, and events to ensure successful execution.

  • Please note that this role will require occasional early morning/late night working hours to help support special events and partnership activations*

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute all logistics for all premiere event sponsor activations
  • Sponsor/Partner press liaison- managing Sponsor/Partner press obligations
  • Liaison between creative/production/promotions departments to insure all sponsorship activations have the various elements need such as signage, queue lines, and operational needs
  • Brand research including but not limited to past advertising campaigns, yearly expenditures, future development plans etc.
  • Partnership/Sponsorship Program recap and archival
  • Work closely with the promotions team to brainstorm and pitch activation ideas for partners to sponsor, determine staffing needs for each sponsor as well as create an execution plan for each event
  • Manage various internal documents including the Premiere Sponsor Logistics Grid
  • Work closely with production team to help organize all technical needs for each sponsor’s activation
  • Spearhead promo item purchasing and distribution for premiere fan groups
  • Arrange onsite premiere activation logistics including load-in, delivery, set up and breakdown
  • Onsite day of event
    • Supervise load-in and logistics
    • Onsite contact for vendors brought on to execute sponsor activations
    • Manage staff needs on site for execution
    • Manage event timelines and load in schedules, delivery and load out
    • Support other events team members as needed by helping with ticketing, crafts, activity execution

    Basic Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in Marketing - Film, Entertainment, Theme Park, Sales, Event Operations
    • Strong Collaborator, Team Player, Multi- Task, and Drives Strong Results
    • Innovative and Creative Marketer
    • Strong Communication and organizational skills and ability to interface with all levels of management
    • Excel Spreadsheet experience

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business or relevant work experience

    Preferred Experience

    • Preferable Disney Cross Line of business experience

    The hiring range for this position in California is $71,000.00 to $95,100.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
