Our client for the Managing Director North America opportunity is a global designer and manufacturer of textiles. They produce environmentally sensitive fabrics from natural materials as well as recycled materials ensuring they leave a positive environmental impact. Having an integrated production process allows them to produce high-end quality materials that are unmatched.
The Managing Director North America will lead the North America P&L with a commercial focus driving strategic growth for the region. This person will lead a lean, but agile team consisting of sales, customer service, warehousing and logistics, HR, and finance. This client goes to market direct to manufacturers, through 3rd partner reps, to end users, and designers and architects. Markets include, but are not limited to transportation (buses, trains, coaches), commercial offices, education, healthcare, hospitality, and more. This person will report to the Global Leadership team in Europe with high visibility and communication with the Board. This role can be remote in the Midwest United States region.

Full P&L accountability for the US business, ensuring profitable and sustainable strategic growth.
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy, aligned with global goals and brand positioning.
Identify and capitalize on market opportunities across commercial, residential, and transport sectors.
Deliver ambitious revenue and margin growth targets, ensuring accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and KPI delivery.
Provide insight-driven business planning, analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform global decision-making.
Act as the face of the organization in the US, ensuring consistent brand integrity and alignment with the global strategy.
Build and nurture strong relationships with key global stakeholders, industry partners, and customers.
Ensure seamless communication between the US business and the overseas Executive Board, providing transparency, insight, and strategic recommendations.
Provide inspirational leadership across all US functions, not limited to sales, ensuring clarity, accountability, and motivation.

Profile
Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or related. Master's preferred, but not required.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in Sales and Commercial Leadership roles
Proven experience in P&L ownership delivering sustainable growth
Must have experience selling tangible products into commercial buildings and offices, hospitality, education, healthcare, architects and designers or related
Experience in textiles, furniture or related highly preferred
Strong executive presence, high integrity and professionalism
Prior experience growing and scaling a business with a growth mindset, and customer centric focus
Strong leadership skills developing, mentoring, and leading people
Strong analytical and organizational skills and financial acumen
Strong presentations and communication skills required
Ability to travel 40-50% across the US region, occasional international travel
Job Offer
Competitive base salary $225,000 - $275,000 depending on experience, bonus, company car allowance, holidays, healthcare, 401K, vacation and holidays. Being a part of an innovative organization and dynamic team driving growth in a global organization.
