Job description:

1. PLC hardware/software troubleshooting (hands-on experience).
2. New product/program introduction – take products through production ensuring cost, quality, and delivery.
3. Tooling, equipment & fixture design/identification for manufacturing.
4. Lean manufacturing practices – 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, VSM, Error Proofing, Standard Work.
5. Process efficiency & waste elimination in assembly/manufacturing.
6. Safety & ergonomics focus (work with EH&S).
7. Root cause problem-solving using data analysis.
8. Documentation & change management for process changes.

🌟 Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills (Good differentiators)

• Experience with Military & Aerospace standards.
• Work instructions & documentation writing.
• Knowledge of cable & harness assemblies.
• AutoCAD / SolidWorks familiarity.
• Document control systems (PDM).
• Experience in new product introduction (NPI) and lifecycle management.
• Strong MS Office & computer proficiency.

• A hands-on Manufacturing Engineer with both technical (PLC, tools/fixtures, CAD) and process improvement (Lean, Kaizen, safety, cost reduction) expertise.
• Someone with experience in cable harness / aerospace / defense manufacturing is highly preferred.
• Candidate should be able to lead projects, drive efficiency, and document processes while ensuring safety, compliance, and quality.
