About the role:
As the Lead Receptionist, you'll be the welcoming face of our Brooklyn Campus while also leading the reception team. You'll combine frontline hospitality with team supervision to ensure every member, guest, and partner feels supported the moment they walk through our doors. From opening and closing the campus to coaching your team, you'll set the tone for professionalism, warmth, and seamless experiences.

About the role:

Here's what you'll do day-to-day:
- Greet and assist members, guests, and partners with warmth and professionalism.
- Manage check-ins, guest lists, and reception systems, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Provide on-shift supervision, mentoring, and training for reception team members.
- Oversee scheduling, team coverage, and performance in partnership with the Hospitality & Operations Manager.
- Act as a key holder, handling campus opening and closing procedures.
- Support events and activations by assisting with guest flow and check-in.
- Collaborate with campus teams (Cafe, Events, Campus Support) to maintain seamless operations.
- Model The Lighthouse ethos in every interaction—professional, responsive, and guest-first.
- 1–2 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or front desk/reception.
- Prior supervisory or shift-lead experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to make people feel welcome.
- Comfortable using digital tools (CRM, scheduling software, POS systems).
- Detail-oriented, reliable, and organized in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player who communicates clearly and solves problems proactively.
- Hospitality-driven mindset with accountability and adaptability.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shifts.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events.
- Role is primarily front desk-based with mobility across the campus.
