Job Description

The Technology Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining all technology systems and infrastructure to support hotel operations and guest experiences. This role is key during the pre-opening phase to establish robust IT frameworks, select vendors, and build a capable technology team aligned with Ennismore’s standards.

Pre-Opening

Develop and implement IT strategies and infrastructure plans to support operational readiness and brand standards.

Coordinate the selection, installation, and testing of hardware, software, networking, and telecommunications systems.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure integration of property management systems (PMS), point of sale (POS), security systems, and guest Wi-Fi.

Lead recruitment and training of the IT team to ensure readiness for launch.

Establish IT policies, procedures, and security protocols aligned with corporate and local compliance requirements.

Oversee data migration and system testing prior to opening.

Operational

Manage day-to-day IT operations, including network administration, hardware/software maintenance, and helpdesk support.

Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate timely resolutions to minimize downtime.

Ensure cybersecurity measures are in place and regularly updated to protect data integrity and privacy.

Maintain relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and contractors.

Provide training and support to hotel staff on technology use and best practices.

Oversee technology budgeting, procurement, and asset management.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop the IT team to deliver effective, customer-focused technology services.

Conduct regular training and performance reviews.

Additional Responsibilities

Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by the leadership team.

Prepare IT reports and updates for management and corporate stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in IT management, preferably in hospitality or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, PMS, POS, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including during emergencies or system upgrades.
