Maslow’s Campus Communities is seeking an Investments Analyst to join our team. This role will support the firm’s growth across on-campus and off-campus development and asset acquisitions, as well as other financial-related roles to augment our quickly growing pipeline.
The Investments Analyst is responsible for underwriting and financial modeling of all company investment opportunities, including acquisitions as well as on- and off-campus developments. This role collaborates across departments to:
Develop full project budgets, including development and capital expenditure requirements;
Assess market feasibility;
Create detailed operating budgets for property management;
Evaluate hold strategies;
Run multiple scenarios to optimize financing structures and review returns metrics;
Prepare investment memos, presentations, and reporting materials for the Maslow’s Executive Team.
The ideal candidate brings a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a creative, problem-solving mindset. Exceptional organization, research skills, attention to detail, and time management are essential for success in this role. The Analyst will be expected to make and defend assumptions throughout the underwriting process. This is a fast-paced environment where the position offers both the opportunity to lead full underwriting efforts and present recommendations, while also working closely with, and receiving guidance from, the Maslow’s Executive Team (https://maslowscommunities.com/team/).

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree is required; BS, BA or MBA focused in finance, real estate, economics, or a related field is preferred but not required.
1–3 years of relevant work experience in real estate, brokerage, investment banking, or private equity is preferred but not required.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong track record of success and attention to detail (academically and professionally) along with ability to work collaboratively with all team members.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to appropriately prioritize multiple deadlines while delivering a high-quality work product on expected timelines.
Ability to work effectively on-site in Austin, TX
Minimal travel is necessary.
