Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations, the ideal candidate will possess knowledge in the customer service field, including handling customer interactions, order entry, internal and external customer support, shipping, and invoicing. The Inside Sales Specialist will be the central point of contact for commodity managers for an assigned portfolio. They will generate revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts. The Inside Sales Specialist will support a Regional Sales Manager and/or Account Manager. The position will interface with engineering, marketing, supply chain, and operations to assist with the day-to-day functions needed to care for the account.
The Sales Specialist will also have responsibility for the roll-up of the demand plan in the SIOP Process and report out during Executive reviews.
The position is located at our Menomonee Falls, WI location. This is a hybrid role in the office 2-3 days a week. Core hours 9-3 with flexibility in start and end times.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
Qualifies opportunities. Works hand in hand with sales executives for further development and closure
Grow customer relationships to understand customer needs and requirements
Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up
Guide and process customer orders and inquiries in a fast-paced environment
Communicate with customers via phone, email, and chat
Solve customer problems and find the best possible solutions
Experience working with Salesforce.com CRM
Answer inbound calls with an elevated customer experience, including product availability, order status, pricing, and shipping details to customers
Respond to shipping inquiries and answer order status questions
Provide proactive solution-based support and product recommendations via verbal and/or written communication directly with our customers
Prioritize rush orders and special requests
Collaborate and build cross-functional relationships with internal and external customers, including within their work team
Responsible for the Demand Plan as part of the SIOP Process
Ability to consolidate and present sales analysis
