Director/Senior Director People - San Francisco Bay Area - 2 days/week
We're working with an innovative and growing company that's looking to bring on a dynamic Director/Senior Director of People. This leader will play a key role in shaping and advancing core areas such as performance management, compensation strategy, and benefits oversight. Key Areas of Responsibility:
Design and refine frameworks that support individual development and team success. Guide goal-setting, performance discussions, and leadership alignment on career progression.
Innovate a total rewards strategy: manage compensation philosophy and execution, including salary planning, equity programs, and incentive cycles. Partner cross-functionally to ensure transparency, fairness, and competitiveness globally.
Steward an inclusive, values-driven workplace.
Lead U.S. and global benefits strategy, partnering with vendors to ensure coverage, compliance, and employee education. Own open enrollment and drive utilization through clear, proactive communication.
Play a key role in growing the company's international footprint.
Ideal background:
10+ years of HR experience, including leadership roles in high-growth biotech or life science settings
Deep knowledge of compensation, performance, and organizational development
Track record of building and scaling HR programs across regions
Experience with European labor practices and international employment preferred
Strategy mindset with strong operational acumen and ability to work across levels
Clear, confident communicator with a people-first orientation
