Position Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator plays a key support role in the HR department, assisting HR with recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and day-to-day HR operations. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, people-focused, and looking to grow their career in Human Resources. The coordinator will handle essential HR tasks while also gaining exposure to projects and initiatives that strengthen the employee experience at Granite Bank.


Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate job postings, schedule interviews, and assist with candidate communications
  • Prepare and facilitate new hire paperwork, background checks, and other onboarding activities
  • Prepare orientation materials and help facilitate the onboarding process

HR Administration

  • Update and audit personnel files to ensure employee information is accurate and consistent
  • Assist in preparing HR documents such as offer letters and policy acknowledgments
  • Monitor deadlines for benefit enrollment, compliance training and other HR-related tasks.
  • Provide general administrative support including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and assisting with HR projects.

Employee Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for routine HR questions
  • Provide guidance on basic policies and procedures; escalate complex issues.
  • Assist with company events.
  • Support benefit enrollment, changes, and employee question.
  • Assist with compliance reporting and audit preparation

HR Projects

  • Participate in HR initiatives such as employee engagement, training, or wellness programs
  • Help develop and improve HR processes and templates


Experience:

  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business or other related fields preferred
  • 1-2 years of HR, recruiting, or administrative experience; banking or financial services a plus


Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
