Position Overview: We’re looking for an HR Generalist who is passionate about people and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. This role is all about being a trusted partner - supporting our store team, partnering with managers, and helping shape a workplace where our people feel supported, engaged, and empowered to grow.
You will be hands-on with everything from employee relations to payroll (timecard enforcement), recruiting, ensuring compliance with company policies while also driving culture and engagement at our store. Job Responsibilities:
Partner with HR Manager and store leadership on staffing, employee relations, workforce planning and daily store HR operations
Act as primary liaison for employee relations questions and concerns, leaves of absence, paid time off, workers compensation, etc.
Ensure integrity of staff timecard and support the payroll process
Provides training to store employees, including but not limited to HR processes and procedures, employment laws, recruiting, etc.
Support managers in coaching, evaluating performance, and handling disciplinary actions with fairness and care
Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR best practices
Manage day-to-day store HR operations including payroll, personnel files, upholding company policy and procedure in addition to administrative tasks associated with HR reporting
Play a key role in recruiting store staff which includes partnering with Store Management for staffing objectives, sourcing top talent, managing open positions and full cycle interview process, building relationships with internal and external partners, hosting job fairs, and creating a pipeline of future team members
Manage new hire onboarding and tracks all aspects of employment, such as completing employment forms, conducting orientations and notifying departments of new hire starting dates
Collaborate across departments including HR, Training, Legal, Payroll, Stores Support Center and Store Operations
Other duties as assigned by leadership
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
4+ years of HR experience, ideally in a retail/store environment. Experience supporting hourly population of employees required.
Regular, dependable attendance, and punctuality. Ability to work on-site 5 days per week and work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with limited structure and direct supervision
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and recruitment strategies
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism
Highly organized with a knack for multitasking, problem solving, and working independently in a fast-paced setting
Customer-service mindset with strong communication skills (listening, written, verbal)
Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to building an inclusive, supportive workplace
Experience with Workday is a plus

Salary Range: $82,000-$88,000
*The offered salary or salary range is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
