The Town of Wayland is seeking a dynamic Executive Assistant to support the Town Manager and Select Board. This key role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, engaging municipal office where you can make a significant impact for Wayland’s 14,000+ residents. Ideal candidates should have strong customer service skills, excellent attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude.


Responsibilities include:


  • Provides assistance to members of the public, employees and board/committee members
  • Prepares correspondence on behalf of the Town Manager and Select Board
  • Prepares agenda and meeting materials for Select Board meetings
  • Manages the Town Manager’s schedule
  • Provides oversight for the Select Board’s licensing responsibilities, including licenses and permits for a wide range of businesses and organizations in Town
  • Oversees onboarding process for new board and committee members
  • Assists Town staff with the procurement process.
