The Town of Wayland is seeking a dynamic Executive Assistant to support the Town Manager and Select Board. This key role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, engaging municipal office where you can make a significant impact for Wayland’s 14,000+ residents. Ideal candidates should have strong customer service skills, excellent attention to detail and a positive can-do attitude.
Responsibilities include:
Provides assistance to members of the public, employees and board/committee members
Prepares correspondence on behalf of the Town Manager and Select Board
Prepares agenda and meeting materials for Select Board meetings
Manages the Town Manager’s schedule
Provides oversight for the Select Board’s licensing responsibilities, including licenses and permits for a wide range of businesses and organizations in Town
Oversees onboarding process for new board and committee members
Assists Town staff with the procurement process.
