Job Description

Timeframe: June 1 – August 21, 2026 and able to work in a hybrid work environment.

THE ROLE

Role

We're looking for an Embedded Firmware Engineering Intern to join the Bose Premium Consumer Audio business group and help with upcoming product and platform development initiatives. In this role, candidates will be able to be involved with:

  • Collaborative design and development for Bluetooth wearable and speaker products using real time embedded operating systems and employing a combination of platform firmware, as well as product specific firmware.
  • Opportunities to work with edge hardware integration, diagnostics, and new product introduction for new battery technologies and new sensor technologies.
  • Opportunities to contribute towards the introduction of AI based techniques with new development.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should be/have:

  • Current enrollment in a BSEE or BSCS program with concentration on embedded firmware
  • Experience with embedded C in a real time OS
  • Experience utilizing strong verbal and non-verbal communications skills in a collaborative environment successfully

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Python
  • Experience with GitHub, Confluence, Jira, or some form of collaborative design and team tools.
