PROGRAM: HELP
The HELP Rapid Rehousing Program supports young adults aged 18–25 that are aging out of DHS custody, facing housing instability, or who otherwise find themselves without appropriate housing skills. HELP provides individualized support to achieve housing stability, workforce readiness, and long-term independence. We offer housing education workshops, employment connections and skills, and partner with OHS to provide rapid rehousing services. We are seeking a dynamic Educational/Vocational Housing Coordinator to lead our employment and education efforts, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Employment & Education Coordination
Design and lead engaging job readiness and life skills workshops tailored to young adults.
Provide individualized support to participants in identifying career goals, accessing training programs, and navigating educational systems.
Build and maintain partnerships with local employers, vocational programs, GED/college providers, and workforce development agencies.
Assist youth with resume building, job applications, and interview preparation.
Maintain a current resource library of tools, opportunities, and materials related to employment and education.
Limited Supervision & Team Collaboration
Provide day-to-day support and limited supervision to case managers and a part-time staff.
Participate in team meetings and collaborate with program leadership to support service quality and staff development.
Support coverage for staff roles on an as-needed basis, such as accompanying clients to appointments or assisting with documentation.
Housing Support
Provide housing case management to a small caseload.
Support rapid rehousing activities including landlord engagement and home visits.
Maintain accurate HMIS data and assist in completing reports required by OHS and funders.
Stay up-to-date on housing laws, program eligibility, and funding requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in case management, employment services, or youth programming
Experience facilitating educational or employment-related workshops
Strong organizational, communication, and supervisory skills
Familiarity with community resources, housing services, and workforce development
SALARY GRADE: 17
