Position Summary
As a Director of Repossessions - Lease, you will oversee the entire repossession process for assigned delinquent automobile loans, ensuring efficiency and compliance. You will review and enhance departmental process flows, policies, and procedures, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement to meet all compliance and legal requirements within State and Federal guidelines. Additionally, you will develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track department performance against targets, reporting monthly, quarterly, and annual results to senior management. Conducting due diligence on current and potential repossession vendors will be a key responsibility, ensuring they operate within FIFS contractual guidelines and meet performance targets. You will maintain strong relationships with repossession, transportation, and auction vendors, as well as internal partners, including Settlement, Titling, Customer Support, and Collections. Furthermore, you will establish and nurture relationships with industry peers to stay informed about trends and potential regulatory changes. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Manage the repossession process for all Stellantis Financial Services US vehicles
Develop and/or fine tune processes to increase efficiency and performance results
Manage repossession vendor relationships, including vendor due diligence visits
Manage selection of repossession agents, negotiate fees, and verify insurance and bond coverages
Ensure compliance with state laws regarding the right to cure (RTC), Strict Compliance Letter (SCL), Soldiers and Sailors Credit Protection (SSCRA), and any Bankruptcy protection requirements
Manage the processing of vehicle reinstatements and/or redemptions
Manage the processing and release of impounded vehicles
Work closely with the Risk Management, Compliance and Digital teams to automate processes
Work closely with and respond to the Compliance Department on CFPB, state and local audit requests
Partner with Compliance to ensure all applicable repossession laws are followed
Develop and execute cross-channel business deliverables
Lead the development of strategies, workflow processes, and process management for Repossession
Establish monthly and annual performance targets for Repossession
Lead and coach Repossession team in all aspects of their roles
Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual performance tracking versus targets, challenges, and new tests, as well as economic and external impacts on performance for Repossession
Analyze associate and team performance and provide direction to managers in communicating performance and goals
Contribute to Senior level meetings and high-level decision making

Required Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in asset recovery, collections, or repossession management.
Minimum of 4 years of senior management experience within a financial institution, along with experience managing staff.
Education
A bachelor’s degree
Skills Required
Experience in developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track performance.
Proven track record in conducting due diligence on vendors and ensuring compliance with contractual guidelines.
Strong understanding of State and Federal regulations related to repossession processes.
Experience in maintaining relationships with repossession, transportation, and auction vendors, as well as internal partners such as Settlement, Titling, Customer Support, and Collections.
Ability to establish and maintain industry relationships to stay informed about trends and regulatory changes.
Advanced Excel skills
Intermediate MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends
