Position Summary
We are seeking an exceptional Director of Operational Innovation who will spearhead Operational initiatives and process improvements. Success in this role requires a dedication to improving the efficiency of business processes, enhancing quality of services provided to customers, and elevating the experience of TapestryHealth team members. This person must be analytical, collaborative, a ‘systems-thinker,’ and a change agent. While this role will start as an individual contributor role, it will evolve into managing a small team of project managers working to implement business-critical initiatives. Key outputs of this role include bringing assigned projects to successful implementation, process and decision documentation, and measurable assessment of project impact. As a senior member of the Operations team, you will be expected to continually grow the skills and knowledge base of the team while enabling operations to run efficiently and effectively. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team within overall TapestryHealth, you will be a go-to resource for key insights to inform business strategy and leadership of strategic initiatives across different departments outside of Operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Director of Operational Innovation will have the following responsibilities, as well as any additional duties as assigned:
Strategic Partnership & Collaboration: Partner with leaders and teams from key functional areas (e.g., Operations, Finance, Technology, and Business Development) to understand their operations, structure, systems/tools/data, and challenges, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Operational Project Leadership: Lead operational initiatives using project delivery tools like Monday.com or MS Projects, ensuring proper project launch and optimization. This would include change management planning, internal communications, and success measurement criteria.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Technology, Business Development, Finance, Analytics, and Operations to design, build, and implement tools and processes that enable tactical strategies to meet business objectives.
Operational Problem-Solving: Partner with peers and direct reports to identify and resolve operational challenges, ensuring the delivery of high satisfaction, on-time, on-budget project activations and ongoing client success.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in or sponsor performance improvement and continuous quality improvement initiatives, tracking and reporting the impact of key strategies and decisions on business outcomes.
Team management: Likely to oversee a team of 1-2 project managers, requiring coaching and mentoring.
Requirements:
Education: B.S. in Business, Operations Management, Operations Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of strategic planning and leading change management initiatives
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; capable of telling a compelling story with data to inspire action from stakeholders.
Process Innovation: Proven ability to synthesize and distill complicated business challenges using data/analytic foundations and craft actionable insights and action-planning.
Leadership: Demonstrated experience in building relationships, promoting collaboration, transparency, and the achievement of goals.
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate business challenges and solutions and present these insights effectively at all levels of the organization.
Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
Preferred Skills:
Senior-Level Relationship Management: Experience managing senior-level relationships, including with C-suite executives.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the high-tech or healthcare industries.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, pay attention to detail, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be articulate, persuasive, and experienced in public speaking.
Project Management discipline: History working with Project Management software tools and effective project management discipline.
