Golden Age Dental Care, California’s leader in portable dentistry, is seeking a Director of Reimbursement to oversee a team of managers each running a reimbursement related department. Building partnerships and relationships with all payors will be a top priority. The right candidate will have the opportunity to be promoted to a VP position within the first year. Responsibilities of the role can be met with a hybrid office/work from home schedule.


We provide on-site dental care to thousands of skilled nursing facility residents across the state. As we expand, we need an experienced executive who can strengthen reimbursement strategy, oversee multiple departments, and build scalable systems — including high-performing remote teams — that balance access to care with financial sustainability.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead strategy for Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, commercial plans, and managed dental organizations.
  • Negotiate reimbursement rates, contracts, and value-based care arrangements.
  • Oversee the Manager of Insurance Revenue Cycle (payer billing/claims/collections) and the Manager of Self-Pay Department, with the potential to add additional departments in the future.
  • Establish, implement, and monitor revenue cycle policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure reconciliation between billing accounts, payments, and financial statements.
  • Build and manage effective remote teams, ensuring strong communication, accountability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with IT and technical teams to resolve billing system issues and optimize EDI/claims processing platforms.
  • Ensure compliance and accuracy in all revenue cycle functions, driving toward error-free claims and minimized denials.
  • Partner with state agencies, regulators, and associations to advocate for fair reimbursement in long-term care dentistry.


What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of dental industry leadership experience
  • 2+ years of reimbursement/revenue cycle experience (dental, medical, or long-term care).
  • Strong knowledge of Medi-Cal/Medicaid, managed care contracting, and long-term care reimbursement.
  • Proven experience overseeing multi-department and remote teams.
  • Track record of establishing policies, optimizing performance metrics, and aligning reimbursement operations with financial reporting.
  • Strategic thinker and effective people leader with excellent communication skills.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $110,000 base (salaried, exempt)
  • Bonuses: Performance-based
