THE ROLE

We’re seeking a seasoned commercial lawyer to lead contract drafting and negotiation efforts—including direct and channel agreements—while mentoring the Contracts Administration team. The ideal candidate will be adept at resolving contract issues swiftly and reasonably, balancing the needs of both the company and its customers. You’ll serve as a role model and escalation point for contract negotiation and strategy.

You will play a key role in scaling the legal function of a fast-growing, software-led services company. This includes working closely with Sales, Finance, and senior leadership, and acting as the lead negotiator in direct interactions with customer procurement and legal teams. Your goal will be to drive efficient negotiations that support growth while managing risk.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Review, draft, and negotiate strategic commercial contracts, including partner agreements, software licenses, master services agreements, SaaS agreements, and vendor contracts
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert on commercial agreements and support business scalability
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including OFAC and data privacy regulations
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of scalable legal processes that mitigate risk

WHAT IT TAKES

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team
  • Proactive and mature decision-maker with sound judgment under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Skilled at managing high volumes of transactions and multiple concurrent projects, engaging cross-functional stakeholders as needed
  • Strong problem-solving, influencing, and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and across global teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels and across cultures
  • Proactive in monitoring legislative changes to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 10 years of commercial legal experience, including in-house experience—ideally within a technology company
  • Proven expertise in contract drafting and negotiation
  • Management experience preferred
  • Minimum of 6–7 years’ experience in IT service contracts and general commercial matters
  • Solid working knowledge of cloud services, commercial law, and IT/IP law, preferably in an international context

What We Offer

  • Trust that you are good at what you’re doing. At Syniti you will find a supportive environment and access to learning tools, but micromanagement is not our thing.
  • Growth. We are growing rapidly and steadily solving the biggest challenges enterprise companies are faced with today. There was never a better time to join and grow with us. Most importantly you will have the chance to shape our journey and share in our success story.
  • Support. We all rely on each other and enable each other to be successful. You won’t stand alone.
  • Curiosity and genuine interest in you. We all have our different stories, all equally fascinating with each depicting a different journey and we want to hear them all.
  • Recognition. We are the sum of individual achievements and we always take the time to celebrate them.
  • An open organisation. Hierarchies are not our thing and access is something we make sure of across the board. We are a family where everyone is just as important, everyone’s work is seen and ideas valued.

Our Commitment to Inclusion

At Syniti, we’re committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and fair workplace where everyone belongs and thrives. We believe that diverse perspectives make us stronger — and we value the unique backgrounds, experiences, and voices each person brings to our team.
