Base pay range

$40,000.00/yr - $40,000.00/yr
Seeking a development associate to support our non-profit organization by managing donor relationships, coordinating fundraising events, and assisting with grant applications and donor communications. Key responsibilities include managing donor databases, executing fundraising appeals, providing administrative support to senior development staff, and analyzing data to inform strategies. Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills are essential for success in this collaborative role.

Core Responsibilities

  • Fundraising Support: Assist in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to meet organizational goals.
  • Donor Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors through communication, follow-up, and personalized outreach.
  • Database Management: Manage donor databases, accurately record gifts, and generate reports to track progress and analyze data.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate fundraising events, including managing volunteers, vendors, and event logistics.
  • Grant & Appeal Writing: Research funding opportunities, assist in writing proposals and grant applications, and craft fundraising appeals.
  • Administrative Duties: Provide administrative support to the development department, including gift processing, sending acknowledgments, and preparing materials.
  • Promoting Small Weddings: Marketing our wedding venue to generate income.
  • Promoting Saturday Tours: Marketing weekend tours to the public.
  • Promoting Corporate Retreats: Outreach to businesses regarding our corporate packages.
  • Social Media growth: Content management on all platforms, including FB, IF, TikTok, YouTube, X.
  • Business to Business marketing: Outreach to businesses promoting our organization and soliciting donations.
  • Online Auctions: Creating and managing a winter auction.
  • Furthering our E-Commerce Platform: Marketing our online shop and better promoting our offerings.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for donor correspondence and internal team collaboration.
  • Organization & Project Management: Strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to multitask and manage projects effectively.
  • Initiative & Proactiveness: The ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with donor management software, Microsoft Office/Google applications, and social media platforms.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, external stakeholders, and other departments.
  • Interest in the Mission: A genuine interest in the organization's mission and a commitment to its goals.

Experience Preferred in this role, or transferable experience in sales, marketing, etc.

Employment Details

  • Work days of Su, Mo, Tu, We, Th with Fridays and Saturdays off.
  • We do not currently have health care, but are hoping to add soon.
