About The Role

We are looking for a Design Researcher who will bring curiosity, rigor, and creativity to uncovering insights that shape strategy and innovation. You will design and run research across a range of industries and problem spaces, combining traditional methods with new digital and AI-enabled approaches to deliver meaningful discoveries.

In this role, you will translate client questions into human-centered research strategies, striking a balance between speed, cost, and depth to provide actionable insights. You will partner closely with strategists and designers to ensure that evidence and empathy guide the work from beginning to end. This role is ideal for someone energized by ambiguity, eager to deepen their expertise, and excited to contribute to the growth of our research discipline over time.

What You'll Do

• Shape Research Strategy
• Partner with strategists to frame research questions and approaches
• Translate client needs into actionable research plans
• Support management of third-party research vendors, platforms, budgets, and data security requirements
• Execute and Synthesize Research
• Design and run research using qualitative, quantitative, digital, and AI-driven methods
• Facilitate co-creation sessions with clients and participants
• Partner with service designers to create research stimuli that uncover needs and test assumptions
• Help translate findings into clear, actionable insights
• Document insights in compelling, client-ready formats
• Synthesize patterns into themes and frameworks that guide strategy and design
• Test and Validate Ideas
• Conduct concept and prototype testing with users
• Translate feedback into evidence-based recommendations
• Ensure insights inform personas, journey maps, and blueprints in collaboration with service designers
• Advance Our Research Discipline
• Explore emerging research tools, platforms, and methodologies
• Share best practices and learnings to strengthen Rêve's Research toolkit
• Engage with design and research communities to continue building your craft
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Passion and proven ability to be in a client-facing role
• Values-centered leadership
• Experience leading research projects within a human-centered organization or consultancy
• Committed to creating inclusive experiences and working in a manner that shows respect for diversity and equality
• Ability to moderate user interviews and focus groups
• Strong presentation and written skills
• Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods
• Understand how to apply research insights to develop products, services, and experiences
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Research, Design, Sociology, Anthropology, or Psychology
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Early adopter of AI tools and platforms
• Authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We are currently unable to sponsor work visas
