Cycle Instructor - Huntington Beach

The YMCA of Orange County has an immediate need for a Fitness Instructor. At the Huntington Beach YMCA we're passionate about helping our members live healthier, stronger lives. Our dynamic group fitness program is a cornerstone of that mission. We're currently seeking a high-energy, motivating cycle instructor to lead safe and fun indoor cycle classes for all fitness levels.

Schedule

Looking for an instructor with morning availability on Wednesdays at 5:45am.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging and effective indoor cycling classes that motivate participants of all fitness levels
• Provide proper instruction on bike setup, posture, and technique
• Create energizing playlists and class plans to match class intensity and rhythm
• Ensure a safe environment by monitoring participants and offering modifications as needed
• Arrive early to prepare the studio and greet participants
• Stay up to date with fitness trends and cycle training techniques
• Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages member retention
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Hiring Criteria

The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Qualifications

• Current Cycle Instructor certification (e.g., Schwinn, Spinning, AFAA, ACE or similar)
• Prior experience teaching indoor cycling classes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Passion for health, fitness, and helping others succeed
• Ability to teach early mornings, evenings, or weekends is a plus
