Job Description
ASG is seeking a Cybersecurity Workforce Support Administrator/Wireless Engineer. This position combines enterprise Wi-Fi engineering with cybersecurity workforce compliance, ensuring the networks are both optimized and compliant with DoD directives.
The role will provide hands-on support for wireless network design and deployment while also executing DoD 8140/8570 compliance tasks related to cybersecurity workforce readiness.
What You Will Do
Executes engineering tasks for Cybersecurity/Compliance Support and Cybersecurity Workforce Support.
Plans, deploys, and optimizes secure enterprise Wi-Fi and RF services to meet coverage, capacity, and cybersecurity requirements.
Performs site surveys, RF modeling, and spectrum analysis (2.4/5/6 GHz).
Deploys and manages wireless controllers, APs, and enterprise security features (802.1X, WPA3-Enterprise, segmentation policies).
Produces heatmaps, channel plans, and performance baselines.
Supports DoD 8140/8570 compliance by tracking workforce certifications, role mapping, and training plans.
Maintains documentation and SOPs to support audit readiness and compliance.
Collaborates with engineering and cybersecurity teams to align wireless infrastructure with RMF/ATO requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
What We Need:
Minimum of 5 years of combined wireless engineering and cybersecurity/IA compliance experience.
Hands-on experience with enterprise Wi-Fi systems (Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, etc.) and DoD workforce compliance programs.
Expertise in managing and executing multiple complex work assignments.
Ability to apply originality and innovation in developing solutions to broad or challenging tasks.
Proven experience operating with independence and discretion in creating methodologies and delivering solutions.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical or operational challenges.
Travel up to 25% may be required based on project needs.
Certifications
Must meet DoD 8570/8140 baseline certifications (Security+ CE or equivalent).
Clearance
Active Secret Clearance.
Even Better
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Certifications:
CWNA, CWDP, or CWAP (wireless design/analysis).
CCNP Wireless or Enterprise.
ITIL v4 for service alignment.
Experience with DISA STIGs, IA compliance, and eMASS RMF workflows.
Strong background in tracking and reporting 8570 workforce compliance metrics.
