Client Portal Testing - From Client Contact

As a Controls Software Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering automation solutions for clients in the food and beverage industry

This project-based position involves developing PLC programs, designing and configuring HMI displays, and supporting system integration from concept through commissioning

You'll collaborate closely with project managers, mechanical and process engineers to ensure reliable, efficient, and user-friendly control systems that meet customer specifications and industry standards

Develop PLC programs using both ladder logic and FBD that meet functional requirement of the project

Design HMI applications that permit plant operations to run the system while following JCS HMI development standards

Test and debug visual basic routines imbedded in HMI displays

Interface with database engineer to integrate PLC data with SQL server reporting

Assist with control panel testing

Develop project documentation

Perform Factory Acceptance Test both internally and with customer

Travel to site to commission and support start-up

Perform Site Acceptance Test

Assess customer requests for changes and review with project team

Be available for on-call support of customers

Work with field service engineers in debug and troubleshooting systems and equipment

Contribute to the development and maintenance of departmental standards and processes

Qualifications

Four-year technical degree (BS; or other directly related degree program) or have equivalent work experience

Proficiency in programming ladder logic and FBD in Allen Bradley PLCs

Proficiency in developing Rockwell Software HMI applications

Ability to travel up to 25%
