Job Overview
The AV Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, documenting, and supporting high-end residential AV and home automation systems. This role works closely with sales, project management, and programming teams to translate client needs into technical solutions, developing detailed CAD documentation and supporting installations from concept to completion. You’ll play a key role in delivering systems that redefine luxury living.
Key Responsibilities
Design custom AV and smart home systems based on client needs and technical feasibility
Create and maintain detailed system documentation including CAD drawings, schematics, and device layout plans
Collaborate with sales, PMs, and programmers to ensure cohesive project execution
Coordinate with architects, builders, and other trades to integrate systems into luxury residential environments
Perform field visits for site assessments, measurements, and installation support
Stay current on emerging technologies in the smart home and AV space
Support R&D and provide technical input during project planning
Qualifications
Required:
Proven AV and system integration experience
Proficiency in CAD or other design documentation tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Strong attention to detail and multitasking ability
Ability to work both in the office and on-site as needed
