Base pay range
The Assistant Box Office Manager supports management with all tasks related to the daily operation of the box office, including but not limited to audience services and support, ticket sales and distribution, reconciling daily sales, managing the Envoy visitor access system, and leading box office staff during ticketed Juilliard performances. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, open to taking on new tasks and challenges, and enjoys collaborating with a team.
The salary range for this role is: $53,000-$58,000 per year.
There are two vacancies. The schedules will be as follows: Tuesday-Saturday, 10AM-6PM; Wednesday-Sunday, 12PM -8PM. These schedules may need to change to accommodate our performance calendar.
About The Department
The Juilliard Box Office provides ticketing services across Juilliard’s divisions. Our goals are to provide a safe, and full house for our Student Performers and to increase ticket revenue, the proceeds of which benefit the 90% of Juilliard students who receive scholarship support.

Role Responsibilities
- Leads box office operations for ticketed Juilliard performances, including on nights and weekends.
- Manages and schedules a team of part-time box office staff. Trains, mentors, and supports our team.
- Facilitates ticket sales and distribution for all ticketed events to Juilliard community, membership, donors, and the public.
- Proactively identifies and calmly responds to any customer or ticketing issues that may arise.
- Troubleshoots and solves e-ticket access for customers in-person and online.
- Assists in building, monitoring, and maintaining all ticketed events in Spektrix ticketing system.
- Executes important pre-show ticketing duties including collecting complete and accurate data from customers in-person (using our ticketing system, Spektrix) and collaborating with front of house staff.
- Is the point person for all in-person related tasks including will-call, customer service, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Reconciles and accounts for all cash and checks received, verifies daily cash reports, maintains accurate bookkeeping documents, and deposits all ticket receipts. Creates and maintains reports for various stakeholders across Juilliard.
- Supports Box Office management with various tasks and special projects, and other duties as assigned.
- Upholds a friendly and courteous demeanor with all patrons.
- Knowledge of ticketing systems and a background working in box offices.
- Comfortable with regular interactions with members of the public, especially students and seniors.
- Basic computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office programs.
- Some familiarity with the arts.
- Availability to work nights and weekends in addition to regular office hours.
- Professional and positive demeanor.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience with Spektrix.
- High level of skill in Microsoft Excel.
- Previous management of part-time or temporary staff.
