Job Summary

This position is responsible for administrative support to the Dean and overall administrative and strategic support for the Richards College of Business. Major responsibilities include but are not limited to management of College calendar, including coordination of meetings of faculty, staff, students, community partners, and other stakeholders. Provide administrative support to the dean, including processing travel and purchase requests, handling of checks, mail and other correspondence; internal and external relations. Provide basic data management, including processing survey requests, analysis of spreadsheet data, and drafting tables, charts, and diagrams for reports; records management, including drafting routine correspondence, organizing and maintaining meeting notes and College agreements, and processing paperwork. This position will supervise student workers or graduate assistants and has P-card responsibilities which will require the applicant to successfully pass a credit check.

Responsibilities

1-

Administrative support to the dean, including processing travel and purchase requests, p-card purchases with reconciling payments, handling of checks, mail and other correspondence, manage the dean's schedule/calendar/time efficiently and ensure preparation of necessary materials or information of all meetings or events.

Records management, including drafting routine correspondence on behalf of as appropriate, organizing, preparing and maintaining meeting notes and College agreements, and processing paperwork on the dean's behalf as appropriate.

Basic data management, including processing survey requests, analysis of spreadsheet data, and drafting tables, charts, diagrams for reports, and special projects as assigned

Management of College calendar, including coordination of meetings of faculty, staff, students, community partners, and other stakeholders

Internal and external relations coordinator for the dean to ensure collaboration, efficiency, and effectiveness across college, including coordination with others for Board meetings, conferences, community activities, College events, etc.

Supervise student workers or graduate assistants

Other duties as necessary to ensure collaboration, efficiency, and effectiveness across Richards College and its departments and centers

Required Qualifications

Required Education

High School Diploma or the equivalent

Required Experience

5 years' administrative and secretarial experience. P-card responsibilities require applicant to successfully pass a credit check.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education

Associate's degree with five years' experience as administrative professional or bachelor's degree with three years' experience.

Preferred Experience

previous experience supporting executive personnel or upper level management.

Extensive computer and software knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office) and technical expertise on office machines; experience with statistical software applications.

Proposed Salary

Commensurate with experience.
