Actuarial Reinsurance

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE

• Strong SQL skills required; knowledge of VBA, R, or Python is a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Effective communicator and team player with the ability to present technical findings clearly to both internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., reinsurers, brokers)
• Strong planning and organization skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Business, or other quantitative majors

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in actuarial and reinsurance functions
• Actuarial credentials are not required
• Experience working in cloud-based data/analytics environments preferred
• Familiarity with capital modeling, CAT modeling, and stochastic techniques (e.g. tail risk analysis) is preferred
• Working knowledge of reinsurance financial reporting, including GAAP and Stat
