Accounts Receivable Manager

Position: Collections Manager

Location: Mission, KS (In-Office Role)

Pay Range: $75,000–$85,000

Hours: Full-Time

What You’ll Do:

• Manage the full accounts receivable cycle, including billing, collections, credit management, and cash application.
• Supervise and mentor AR staff, providing training, workload balance, and professional development.
• Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs for receivables such as invoicing accuracy, aging reports, and collection effectiveness.
• Partner with Sales and Customer Service to resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes.
• Review and approve credit applications, determining customer credit limits through financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Ensure timely collection of outstanding accounts to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt.
• Reconcile AR subledger to the general ledger and prepare accurate month-end and year-end reports.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP.
• Drive process improvements and leverage automation to increase AR efficiency and accuracy.
• Support external audits by providing documentation and account analysis as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (preferred but not required).
• 5+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, credit, or collections, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of AR best practices, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite and Salesforce preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
• Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
