Additionally, SMP provides customized solutions for vehicle control and thermal management products in diversified end markets represented by its Engineered Solutions segment.
Globally, SMP employs over 6,000 employees across nearly 40 manufacturing, distribution, and engineering facilities and offices located in North America, Europe and Asia. SMP sells its products primarily to automotive aftermarket retailers, program distribution groups, warehouse distributors, original equipment manufacturers, and original equipment service part operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Mexico, and other Latin American countries.
Month end accounting close duties including journal entry preparation, accrual maintenance, account analysis and account reconciliations.
Financial statement preparation & distribution.
Monthly preparation of supporting documents and reports to be used by all levels of management.
Budget/forecast preparation and distribution.
Sarbanes Oxley compliance coordinator with duties including compliance enforcement, process documentation, controls identification and controls testing.
Internal and external audit coordination. Duties to include preparation of audit reports, data preparation and interacting with audit teams.
Data validation.
Provide accounting support to outside departments as necessary.
Special projects.
General Skills and Qualifications:
Accounting Degree.
JDE experience.
