Role Overview
Mercor is seeking experienced visual storytelling professionals — including storyboard artists, cinematographers, animators, editors, and motion designers — to collaborate on high-impact creative projects with leading AI research groups. This work centers on shaping narrative-driven visual content with cinematic pacing, clarity, and authenticity. Your expertise will directly contribute to training frontier AI systems that can understand and generate compelling visual stories.
Key Responsibilities
Develop storyboards, visual concepts, and narrative structures for AI training datasets
Caption video content with attention to storytelling elements, camera techniques, and visual detail
Evaluate and refine AI-generated visual narratives for accuracy, coherence, and quality
Ensure outputs meet standards of authenticity and cinematic craftsmanship
Ideal Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience in film, animation, motion design, or related creative fields
A strong portfolio demonstrating mastery of storytelling, pacing, and cinematic techniques
Proven ability to distill abstract ideas into clear, engaging visual narratives
Excellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
Opportunity Details
Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous — flexible working hours
Commitment: 30–40 hours per week
Duration: Typically 2–3 months with potential extensions
Compensation & Contract
$45–$65/hour depending on experience and location
