Position Summary
The Vice President of Sales for our Timepieces Division (Full-Price Wholesale) will be the strategic and operational leader responsible for driving top-line growth, profitability, and brand performance. This role requires a seasoned executive with a hands-on leadership style, deep understanding of the luxury wholesale landscape, and the ability to build and inspire a high-performing sales team.
You will provide visionary leadership and hands-on execution; engaging directly with key clients, cross-functional teams, and day-to-day sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and execute the division’s full-price, multi-brand wholesale sales strategy, aligned with organizational financial goals and brand objectives.
- Lead and mentor a sales team, managing individual performance, team development, and accountability across accounts.
- Own key account relationships at the executive level - department stores, specialty retail, and other full-price partners.
- In partnership with Planning, manage sales forecasts, open-to-buy planning, and revenue/margin performance by account and brand.
- Oversee all aspects of the sales cycle: pricing, allocations, promotional planning, seasonal buys, and markdowns.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, merchandising, planning, and marketing to drive category performance and brand storytelling.
- Present innovative strategies and performance updates to executive leadership with clarity and impact.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations team to ensure inventory management process are well-established, planned appropriately, and consistently maintained.
- Proactively identify new growth opportunities, both in established accounts and untapped retail segments.
- Monitor trends in luxury retail, consumer behavior, and competitive activity to inform strategy.
- Represent the company at market appointments, events, and key industry touchpoints.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in timepieces or jewelry industry; luxury experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing full-price department store distribution in the U.S. market; international experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage P&L responsibilities for a business exceeding $20M in annual sales.
- Proven hands-on experience with inventory management, margin optimization, and markdown planning.
- Demonstrated success developing high-level retail partnerships, including senior-level negotiations.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; able to translate strategy into actionable execution across teams.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS); experience with RLM and Skypad required.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving retail environment.
- Willingness to travel as business needs dictate to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, related field or applicable professional experience required.
- Must be based in or willing to work full-time from our New York City office.
