Job Overview

We are seeking a forward-thinking academic leader with a strong background in both higher education and the IT industry to oversee and develop our technology-focused academic programs. The Dean of Information Technology Academic Programs will be responsible for ensuring that our curricula in AI, cybersecurity, data science, cloud computing, and other IT disciplines are academically rigorous, industry-relevant, and aligned with global best practices.

This role involves curriculum development, accreditation, faculty collaboration, and industry engagement to create innovative educational programs that prepare students for evolving career opportunities. Additionally, the Dean will play a key role in expanding executive education and private training initiatives, ensuring alignment with both government and corporate sector demands.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership & Curriculum Development

• Lead the design, review, and accreditation of IT-related degree programs to uphold academic excellence.
• Collaborate with faculty and industry experts to integrate emerging technologies, hands-on learning, and research opportunities into the curriculum.
• Oversee the development of new degree programs, certifications, and micro-credentials in high-demand fields such as AI, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
  
  

Industry & Government Collaboration

• Ensure academic programs stay aligned with global technology trends and workforce needs.
• Build partnerships with leading tech companies, government agencies, and professional organizations to enhance research, internships, and job placement opportunities.
• Benchmark top-tier academic institutions to continuously improve IT education offerings.
  
  

Executive Education & Lifelong Learning

• Expand executive education and private training programs, ensuring they meet industry and government requirements.
• Implement digital learning technologies to modernize instructional delivery and enhance student engagement.
• Work closely with continuing education teams to develop impactful short courses, boot camps, and certification programs.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field (PhD preferred).
• Proven experience in both academia and the IT industry, demonstrating the ability to connect technical expertise with educational leadership.
• Expertise in curriculum development, accreditation, and program evaluation for IT-related fields.
• Strong knowledge of emerging fields such as AI, cybersecurity, data science, and cloud computing.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty, industry partners, and government stakeholders to enhance academic offerings.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
