Technical Lead Consultant – Microsoft Fabric, Power BI & Qlik

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead Consultant with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Qlik to join our team and take a leading role in developing end-to-end data visualization and analytics solutions for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting and delivering scalable solutions using Microsoft Fabric, building advanced Power BI dashboards, optimizing data models, implementing semantic layers, and ensuring data accuracy, performance, and user engagement. As a Technical Lead, you will also play a pivotal role in mentoring teams, driving Fabric, Power BI, and Qlik adoption across the organization, and aligning data visualization capabilities with the strategic growth of our practice.

Responsibilities

· Design and implement solutions within Microsoft Fabric, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and reporting layers.

· Develop advanced Power BI dashboards and semantic models, leveraging DAX, Power Query, and Fabric’s OneLake for scalable, governed reporting.

· Design, develop, and optimize Qlik applications and data models to support scalable analytics solutions.

· Support data validation, performance optimization, and dashboard testing processes to ensure accuracy and reliability.

· Perform comprehensive assessments of client environments to recommend best practices for Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Qlik adoption.

· Implement governance and security measures across Fabric, Power BI, and Qlik platforms, ensuring compliance with standards.

· Roll out solutions to business stakeholders, automate refreshes, and deliver user training and adoption support.

· Define and maintain support processes, contributing to release management and monitoring strategies for Fabric, Power BI, and Qlik solutions.

· Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing coaching and support across Power BI, Fabric, and Qlik skillsets.

· Develop a strategic roadmap for Fabric, Power BI, and Qlik adoption, aligning with organizational objectives and client priorities.

· Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities where Fabric, Power BI, and Qlik can drive measurable business outcomes.

· Act as a champion for Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Qlik, promoting best practices, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

· 5+ years of experience in Power BI development (reports, dashboards, semantic models, governance, and service administration).

· Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, including its data engineering, data science, and reporting capabilities.

· Strong development experience with Qlik (Qlik Sense/QlikView) for interactive analytics and reporting.

· Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service.

· Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and interactive dashboard design.

· Strong SQL and data modelling background.

· Experience leading training, adoption, and upskilling initiatives for both internal teams and clients.

· Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices within Fabric, Power BI, and Qlik.

· Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions on schedule and within budget.

· Leadership experience managing teams of BI developers, with a focus on capability building and strategic growth.

· Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in Agile environments.

Nice-to-Haves:

· Experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.

· Exposure to Sigma Computing or Astrato.

· Experience developing scalable data pipelines using PySpark.

· Broader experience with modern BI and analytics platforms, enhancing flexibility in multi-tool environments.

· Technical consulting background.
