Request verification for your LinkedIn Page

Last updated: 1 day ago

Who can use this feature?

Pages that are eligible for verification will see the option to request verification in the Settings page from the desktop experience. Eligibility may be based on meaningful engagement with LinkedIn, such as posting regularly, or responding to members, as well as having an established commercial relationship with LinkedIn. This could include, but is not limited to, using LinkedIn recurring commercial products like Ads, Jobs, or a Premium Company Page subscription. Meeting these criteria does not guarantee verification. Pages must still complete and pass LinkedIn's review process before being verified. If your Page is not verified after the initial attempt, you may try again.

As a super admin of an eligible LinkedIn Page, you can request verification for your Page only from the desktop experience. To verify your Page, you need to prove ownership of your Page’s website, and your website must accurately represent the organization associated with your Page.

Once verified, the verification badge helps signal that the Page is an official Page of the organization. Verification helps organizations build credibility with potential customers, and job applicants, and helps members engage with the organizations they're looking for. Once a Page is verified, it enables employees of that company to verify their workplace.

To request verification for your LinkedIn Page:

  1. Go to your Page super admin view.

  2. Click Settings in the left menu.

  3. Click Verification controls.

If you don’t see the Verification controls option, your Page isn’t eligible for verification at this time. If you see the Verification controls option but your Page isn't eligible yet, you can click Ask about verifying to express interest.

  4. Click Request verification.

  5. In the Verify your Page dialog, click Get started.

  6. Enter your legal business name and Website URL, and click Continue.

  7. Enter your business address and click Continue

  8. Review the information you entered, and if everything is accurate, click Submit.

After you request verification

You will see a message confirming that your verification request was received, and that you will receive an email message with information on the next steps. The Verification controls page will display your Page verification status as Pending as we evaluate your request. Depending on your domain provider, Page verification can take up to 48 hours to complete. Also, if the domain confirmation process times out or if LinkedIn requires additional information, then, as an admin, you will have to re-do the steps outlined in this article to confirm domain ownership.

Important to know

When a Page is verified on LinkedIn, it indicates that LinkedIn has confirmed, based on objective criteria, that the Page represents the official organization. However, verification does not guarantee the accuracy of all content on the Page, nor does it imply LinkedIn's endorsement of the organization or its activities.

LinkedIn receives a high volume of verification requests daily. You will get an email notification if your verification request was successful or if it was rejected. If your verification request was successful, you will be prompted to complete the Page verification process.
