Every challenge has its summit. 🗻 The nerves. The silence. The doubt. But the only way forward is through. Our CMO, Martin Jara, reminds us that training—whether for an ultra marathon or for life—is about unlocking the strength to keep moving. Read his reflection, feel the push, and sigue pa’lante. 🔥
Discomfort is not a fence, it’s the doorway. I walk through it every time I lace my shoes. And on a cold morning run, my coach put it into words: "to train is to explore Martin”. As the date for my first ultra approaches, I finally understand what he meant. Training is not just about miles. It’s about entering the unknown. The nerves. The doubts. The silence of the mountain at 4,000+ meters (13,100+ feet). This post isn’t just about running an ultra marathon. It’s about every big challenge we face in life, that presentation, that pitch to investors, that leap into the unknown. Your heart races. Your mouth dries. You wonder if you’re ready. I’ve been learning that the only way through doubt is training: - Train your why, so you remind yourself of your purpose. - Train your mind, and repeat mantras that ground you. - Train your circle, ask for help, and surround yourself with people who push you forward. - Train your spirit: get comfortable with being uncomfortable. - Train your body: fuel it, strengthen it, respect it. Because being alone in the mountains for 5 hours… is what prepares you to be there for 10. And the nerves you feel… they are not the enemy. They are proof that you’re stepping into growth. one step at a time So, when the road ahead is unknown, visualize what you do know: the strength in your training, the strength of your Why, the feeling of crossing the finish line, the reminder that pain is often just growth in disguise. To train is to explore: mind, body, and soul. And if you’re wondering how to grow: step out of your comfort zone, train hard, build your support circle, find mentors who guide you. Find a Why that fuels you. Because whether or not you hit the goal, you will have already unleashed change. I'll tell you what I tell myself when facing doubt: Sigue pa’lante, confía en tu entrenamiento, que nada te frene ✊🏽
