Meet Liz, the driving force behind animal welfare at Vital Farms. When we talk about caring for our pasture-raised hens, it is more than just a slogan. It is a promise that guides everything we do. Elizabeth Fry is the expert who helped create the animal care standards we follow today. She is a dedicated animal advocate and the ultimate "hen whisperer." Even before joining the team, Liz played a key role in shaping the standards that define pasture-raised farming. Her work alongside industry leaders helped formalize the practices that set Vital Farms apart from others and the entire conscious farming movement. Crew Takeover! 🌟 Featuring Ivy Harrison, our Senior Impact Specialist. Last week, Ivy led a vibrant and heartfelt Pride Month panel conversation in partnership with the Vital Pride Crew Resource Group, or as we call them, CRGs: Moderating this year's Pride Month Panel alongside other members of the LGBTQ+ community was a great opportunity to tell the stories of our crew members, what makes them feel like they belong at work, and how we can each contribute to a positive environment here at Vital. Not only was it a great way to connect with one another, but it also provided a new experience for me to grow as a leader within the company. I am so glad that Vital Farms invests in our crew members in this way, creating spaces that are safe and welcoming for all, no matter your background or experiences. Thank you to our panelists for being vulnerable and honest. Their insights reminded us that inclusion is often built through everyday experiences. Here’s a look at a few of the incredible stories they shared during the conversation: “Starting with a new company, you never know whether you’re going to feel supported. For the past three years, being a part of the CRG has honestly been life-changing for me because of the amazing people I’ve met through it. There’s so much love and support, and for me it’s brought about the sense of safety and belonging that’s allowed me to bring my full self to work.” – Hope (Villao) Napier, CMP, Senior Director, Digital Transformation “I’ve only been here for six months and went through our training on inclusivity, but the fact that there’s a CRG specifically for the LGBTQIA+ community and saying, not only do we accept you — we value you, we affirm you, we want your perspective, we want your voice, makes me so proud to work here.” – Kay Conat, CHMM, Farm Safety Specialist “Creating a safe space is little symbols that lets people know that you are an ally or a friend to them in that space. That’s anything from the way you dress, speak, or welcome people into a place. On a personal level, part of being proud is creating a safe space within yourself, to make sure you are being authentic to yourself, which is where it always starts.” – Francis Cullo, Corporate Council

We recently welcomed our brand ambassadors, who we call VFFs, to tour one of our farms and Egg Central Station in Springfield, MO. One thing stood out to them above all else: the people. There’s something special about seeing where the hard work happens and meeting the people who bring it to life every day, and we're delighted that our VFFs got a first look at our day-to-day operations. 🎥 created by: https://lnkd.in/gA2wNQYz

Andrew and Elaine, fourth-generation dairy farmers on the east coast of Ireland, spend their days caring for their four-legged ladies and the grass they graze. For them, farming isn’t just a job — it’s a way of life. Learn more about the farmers raising cows who produce the cream to churn up Vital Farms grass-fed butter: https://lnkd.in/enNUgJhk

Curious where our hens retire in the evenings after a long day grazing and exploring the pasture? Around sunset, they head back into the barn where they sleep every night. This keeps them cozy and most importantly, safe from predators. They typically like to lay their eggs in the morning in their protected nesting boxes in the barn, where they can enjoy their privacy. About 3 hours after sunrise, the barn doors open and the girls are free to roam and forage in the pastures year-round. Have another question about the girls' lifestyle? We're proud to share our 2025 Impact Report, which highlights our progress toward building a more resilient food system for all of our stakeholders. "We have an opportunity to prove a food company can positively impact every stakeholder over the long term. That is not the norm right now in this industry, but our continued success scaling this business while holding true to our purpose – improving the lives of people, animals, and the planet through food – gives us the confidence to set our sights even higher." - Russell Diez-Canseco, President and CEO of Vital Farms.
