This past weekend United Utility teamed up 5 crews from B&B and 4 crews from Plaska to work a planned outage to transfer 11 spans from horizontal to vertical. This work took a tremendous amount of coordination with utility customers and internal crews. Thanks to Brian White and Tyler Baker for their efforts in planning this work! We’ve officially begun the first group of projects in phase one of Entergy New Orleans’ Resilience plan. United Utility crews have started upgrading poles across the city to strengthen the electric grid—a critical step in helping our communities stay powered through stronger storms. These upgrades will not only help maintain service during severe weather but also enable faster restoration if an outage does occur. Stay tuned for updates as we work to build a stronger, more resilient New Orleans!
