Yesterday, members of ConnecTTX, a Business Resource Group at TTX, spent the day volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Charlotte. Our 29 volunteers came together to serve breakfast, bake cookies, prepare dinner and fill backpacks for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House who are facing challenging times as their children receive medical treatment in Charlotte-area hospitals. The Ronald McDonald House offers care, comfort and a place to call home for families from across the Carolinas and around the world. We’re proud to support their mission and grateful for the opportunity to give back to the Charlotte community. #TTXCares #CommunityEngagement #ConnecTTX #RonaldMcDonaldHouse #GivingBack

Celebrating Excellence: SECO (Supplier Evaluation Committee) Excellent Supplier Recognition Golf Outing and Award Reception   We are delighted to recognize and celebrate our Excellent Suppliers outstanding performance in supporting our mission with the highest-quality equipment and services. For the 2024 rating year, 19 of our suppliers achieved Excellent Supplier status! At our SECO Excellent Supplier Golf Outing and Award Reception, we honored the companies that exemplify excellence in quality, cost, delivery, service, and administration.   A huge thank you and congratulations to our Excellent Suppliers for your commitment and unwavering support. Your contributions play a vital role in our success, and we are truly grateful for the trust and partnerships we've built together. Your dedication does not go unnoticed!   The TTX Company SECO program’s primary purpose is to improve the quality of the products and services procured by TTX. The program also serves as an effort to improve the communication of mutual expectations and performance between TTX and its suppliers. It has resulted in better documentation of mutual interests and has provided an improved focus on areas where expectations are being met, and on areas where improvements are needed. The ratings assigned to each supplier by SECO represent the consensus view expressed by representatives from the TTX Supply Chain, Fleet, Equipment and Finance Departments, based upon many hours of data gathering, review and discussion. We believe the use of an evaluation committee, composed of TTX officers from various disciplines within the organization, is a distinct strength in our program as it brings to the process different experiences, training and viewpoints.

  • We recently held our 2nd Quarter Update meeting live at TTX headquarters in Charlotte. Leadership spoke on safety, TTX’s 70th anniversary, economic and fleet outlook, and KPI Board Updates. TTX Company CEO and President Tom Wells spoke at the meeting to commemorate 70 years of TTX. In November of 1955, TTX Company (formerly Trailer Trains) was officially incorporated in Philadelphia, PA. “The mission of TTX at that time (1955) was to standardize the rail equipment that handled the piggyback trailers, to foster the growth of piggyback in the industry, and to furnish equipment to members at the lowest possible cost.” Now, 70 years later, the mission is largely fulfilled, and the industry is healthy.   A big thank you to our employees for your hard work and dedication in Q2.
