We’re excited to announce the closing of a $4.5 million CPC Construction Loan with Taft Living LLC to bring new housing opportunities to the Eastwood neighborhood of Syracuse! The project will transform the historic William Howard Taft School into a 28-unit #multifamily rental property, with rents ranging from 80% to 115% of AMI, including three units reserved at 80% AMI in partnership with the City of Syracuse. In addition to CPC’s construction financing, we’ve committed to provide a pension fund permanent loan to fully repay the construction loan. The project also received a $140,000 O-CHIP Grant from Onondaga County, further supporting the successful completion of this important community development. We’re proud to play a role in preserving a neighborhood landmark while creating much-needed housing for Syracuse families. Congratulations to all! #AffordableHousing #JustClosed #Revitalization #HistoricPreservation #MultifamilyHousing #AffordableHousingSyracuse

About us
The Community Preservation Corporation (CPC) was launched in 1974 through a joint agreement between the City of New York and its leading commercial banks to restore and rebuild New York’s aging neighborhoods. CPC itself was an innovation when it was founded, and we carry that founding spirit with us as we operate today. Join us all year long as we celebrate our 50th anniversary (#CPC50th) by highlighting how the CPC has evolved and expanded our reach to become a consistent source of capital to underserved housing markets throughout New York City and in communities across the state. Our deep, strategic relationships with government agencies, community groups, banks, and other investors has positioned CPC as a trusted partner who works hand-in-hand with housing providers to create customized financing solutions. CPC has financed more than 225,000 affordable housing units to date. With roughly $14.4 billion in public and private investments, our work has helped revitalize countless neighborhoods and provided quality housing for low-income families, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities.

🌍 Happy Climate Week, NYC! 🌍 Did you know that CPC has been carbon neutral since 2020? In order to offset our emissions, we invest in third-party verified carbon reduction projects that deliver real environmental and social impact. The results? Protecting over 1,700 hectares of forest, reducing nearly 900,000 tons of CO2, creating jobs, improving access to healthcare and training, and even supporting local schools and community programs. Offsetting is just one step, but it’s an attainable, meaningful one that aligns with our mission. As we celebrate #ClimateWeekNYC, we’re proud to share how CPC is taking action to evaluate—and reduce—the full scope of our impact. 🌱 Learn more about our sustainability platform: https://hubs.la/Q03KlpK50 #CPCImpact #ResilientHousing #ResilientCommunities #AffordableHousing #CommunityDevelopment #CarbonNeutrality #CarbonOffset
