Daniel Pullin officially stepped into his role as TCU’s 11th chancellor in June, inheriting more than a title — he’s leading the university into its next era of growth. From teaching entrepreneurship in the classroom to shaping a strategic plan with input from 10,000 community members, Pullin blends academic vision with bold ambition. Under his leadership, TCU aims to expand enrollment, elevate research and strengthen its position among the nation’s top universities, all while keeping students at the center. “Regardless of what changes in the world,” Pullin said, “we will always operate at the individual student level.” 📖 Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/g-D__3Kn

    Chief Strategist at Google

If you haven't come across this yet, a distinguished engineer at Google, Antonio Gulli just published a free, 400+ page book 📚 on building serious AI systems that can handle the sophistication of the world they'll need to operate in. 🙂 Why is this different from the usual surface-level prompting guides? 🤔 It argues that while LLMs are a powerful engine, you must start planning for the larger machine around them. This is a clear endeavor of love to provide the blueprint for that machine. Or, as Guilli eloquently puts it "It’s about moving from raw capability to robust, real-world applications." Here's the direct link to book... https://lnkd.in/dQRpnXB2 If you're serious about building AI in the real world, this is worth your time. #google #lifeatgoogle #books #ai #technology #learning

🎉 A great night for the TCU Computer Science community! 🎉 This week, the Computer Science Society hosted an internship panel where our students Alex Canales, Alyssa Turenne, Griffin Kuchar, Sameep Shah, and Carlota Castelltort Pinto shared their summer experiences at Oracle, Lockheed Martin, AMD, CBRE, and Creagia. They discussed the application process, key lessons learned, and what day-to-day work looks like in these leading organizations. With over 50 students in attendance, the event sparked thoughtful questions and meaningful conversations. We are proud of our students for representing TCU so well and grateful to the Computer Science Society for organizing an event that helps prepare future Horned Frogs for success in the tech industry. 💜 #TCUCS #ComputerScience #Internships #HornedFrogs
