  • Our second annual Young Professionals (YP) Day wrapped last week, and this year’s event brought YPs together from across our five offices to develop useful skills, learn from leaders within the firm, and socialize! Our YPS were able to hear from members of our executive board who answered questions about their own careers and the history of Wiley|Wilson. The agenda also included a session that provided insight into our proposal and contracting process and a group activity that shed light on why ‘engagement’ is a core value of ours. This event is all about giving our YPs additional tools and resources they need to better develop their skills. We appreciate their participation! #YoungProfessionals #Engagement #ConstantProgress

  • This month, the U.S. Coast Guard celebrated an incredible milestone: 235 years of service to our nation. On August 4, 1790, President George Washington signed a bill, drafted by Alexander Hamilton—that launched the Revenue-Marine with 10 cutters to patrol our coasts. That small fleet became the foundation of what is now one of the most versatile and vital branches of our federal government. For over two centuries, the Coast Guard has stood watch—protecting our shores, securing maritime commerce, and responding to emergencies with courage and precision. Their motto, Semper Paratus— “Always Ready”— is more than a phrase. It’s a promise they live by every day. We’re privileged to play a part in that mission. Through our work with trusted partners, we’ve helped shape mission-critical facilities and infrastructure that support Coast Guard operations from the North to the South. Every project is a chance to strengthen their readiness and honor their legacy. Here’s to 235 years of service. We’re proud to help build what keeps them ready. #USCG #ProudPartner #Designthatserves

  • We are happy to recognize the work of our security team following recent assessments by government agents and clients. In May, we had two agencies conduct formal evaluations of our facilities and security protocols, focusing on how effectively we protect relevant information and maintain compliance with federal standards. Our team received a Superior rating from both agencies — the highest possible. This recognition reflects their attention to detail, problem-solving approach, and commitment to safeguarding critical information. Thank you, team, for ensuring our operations remain secure and compliant. #Securitycompliance #Teamrecognition

  • Our Atlanta office is super excited to team up with the Children's Restoration Network (CRN) again! This time, we're donating back-to-school supplies and backpacks. We've had such a great experience working with CRN on projects like the Easter Basket Drive and the Adopt-a-Shelter program during Christmas, and we're thrilled to support them once more. By joining the CRN Back to School Drive, we're helping kids get the supplies they need to start the school year off right. It's all about giving back to our community and making a positive impact. #BacktoSchool #CRN #Educationforall #Communitysupport

  • Our team, alongside Sawyer Services, recently began design for a new USACE Norfolk project at Fort Barfoot in Blackstone, VA. The project consists of a new multi-purpose range that will consolidate several live-fire training capabilities including static and dynamic fire lanes, shock-absorbing concrete walls, and both pneumatic and non-powered targetry systems. Fort Barfoot sits on 41,000 acres of open and wooded terrain and is a major training site regularly used by the Army, Marine Corps, Virginia National Guard, and other military and law enforcement groups. As we embark on this new project – which coincides with the U.S. Army and USACE’s 250-year anniversary—we are reminded of our first federal government project with USACE in 1940. That summer, Martin Johnson (a Wiley|Wilson engineer at the time) set out to find ways our firm could support the nation’s war effort. In September of 1940, he landed an interview with the Construction Advisory Board, a panel advising the federal government on key programs. After his interview, Martin was told to check back later to see if any work would be assigned. Undeterred, he called every week. Then, in early October, our firm received a call at 11:00 am asking if someone could be in Washington for a 2:00 pm interview that same day. Without hesitation, Martin agreed. Edgar C. Wiley quickly arranged a plane, and Martin made it to his interview right on time. That bold move paid off, and we were awarded the Camp Lee (now Fort Lee) project, our first federal government contract. From that moment on, we have aimed to be the firm that goes the extra mile and prioritizes client satisfaction. #ConstantProgress #architecture #engineering

  • On Juneteenth — marking the day in 1865 when the last enslaved Black Americans were declared free — we reflect on a pivotal moment in American history, the ongoing pursuit of freedom, and the journey toward a more equitable future. This day is a time to honor the resilience of Black Americans and to celebrate the culture, stories, and leadership that continue to shape our world. Wiley|Wilson is proud to commemorate Juneteenth and remains committed to actively listening, learning, and contributing to a more just and inclusive society. #Juneteenth #EquityInAction #WileyWilson
