    📣 Big news: Hasbro is making a move!      We’re packing up our game pieces and heading to a brand-new home at 400 Summer Street in Boston, Massachusetts. This new space (7 floors across 265,000 square feet!) will anchor our Toys, Board Games, Licensing businesses, and Corporate services – housing teams that power some of the world’s most iconic brands. 💪       ✨ Why Boston? Because it’s buzzing with innovative thinkers, world-class partners, and tons of creative energy – exactly what we need for our next adventure.      Rhode Island will always be part of our story. We’re incredibly proud of our history there, and we’re committed to staying connected with our community and local partners for years to come. 🫶     We can’t wait to open the doors to our new Boston office by the end of 2026.   Until then, we’ll ensure the transition is as smooth as possible for our team members and their families, partners, and our cherished Rhode Island community.      ⛰️In addition to our new East Coast home, on the West Coast, our Seattle-area office serves as the headquarters for the Gaming & Digital business.     Welcome to Wizards, Michael de Plater! He joined us this week along with a very talented group of developers. Michael’s been behind some really groundbreaking games. From Total War to Shadow of Mordor, he brings a ton of experience as a creative leader and designer. Now, this team is bringing their innovation to Wizards to create a new game and we couldn’t be more thrilled. Exciting times ahead!

  • The Nuestra Magia Secret Lair drop has raised over $1 million for the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC), with the final tally still being counted! This release was developed to recognize and honor the diversity of Latin American culture through the lens of MAGIC: THE GATHERING’s storytelling and art. Available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, the Nuestra Magia Secret Lair drop represents an intentional effort to broaden representation within our game and community. Guided by Wizards of the Coast Senior Art Director Ovidio Cartagena, the drop features 10 cards illustrated by eight Latinx/é artists. Each card includes bilingual flavor text and artwork that highlights distinct voices and traditions within the Latinx/é diaspora.   • Fans First: Brad, the Board Game Enthusiast.  At Hasbro, you're never far from a true superfan.  Every board game night needs one brave person to meticulously sift through the rulebook to get the game started. At Hasbro, that person is Brad Hilderbrand, Senior Communications Manager! While his day job at Hasbro focuses on Digital Gaming, Brad loves to play traditional tabletop board games in his spare time.  🌟 Exhibit A: his bookcase, stuffed to the brim with the latest games. 🌟 Exhibit B: his custom-designed game table. 🌟 Exhibit C: his side hobby producing YouTube game tutorials, taking viewers through the best ways to play.   “My weekends are basically spent playing board games from sun-up to sundown, and games are really about the only thing I buy aside from food. Some might call it an obsession... I call it devotion.” 🔍 Stickler for the Rules 🔍  “I love to learn and teach. My favorite thing about getting a new game is punching out all the pieces and learning the rulebook so I can teach the game to others. When I go to a board gaming convention (my happy place), I’ll ask my friends what games they want to play so I can be prepared to teach them once we arrive. Though I love playing games, I often find teaching them to be the most fun part!    Hasbro’s Top Tabletop? 🌟   “HeroQuest! It’s a great dungeon crawler franchise and the Avalon Hill team has put out so much awesome content to keep it fresh.   • ⚡️Fans First: Dan’s Sonic Obsession Gets the SECRET LAIR Treatment⚡️     At Wizards of the Coast, you're never far from a true superfan. Wizards has no shortage of employees who are personally obsessed with its games. But our team members are equally obsessed with other iconic gaming franchises. Like SEGA’s Sonic the Hedgehog.     In the case of Dan Barrett, Director of Commercial & Business Strategy – D&D, his love and respect for Sonic helped to inspire the recent MAGIC: THE GATHERING Secret Lair drop, Secret Lair x Sonic: Friends & Foes!      “I firmly believe Magic is the best tabletop game system in the world. Once you know the game, it’s easy to daydream about what your favourite characters from other worlds would be like in Magic card terms. Secret Lair is a great outlet for exploring this while bringing Magic to new players.”     Merging Two Worlds 🤝   “I’ve been a Sonic fan for over 30 years. Sonic was the first game I played on my first console: a SEGA Game Gear I got for my 6th birthday in 1992. I loved the feeling of speed when playing as Sonic, the cool character design, and the great music, which all continue today.”      A Canny Campaigner   “In addition to Sonic, I internally pitched the Keys from the Golden Vault D&D book (2023). If I have an idea, I demonstrate internally it’s a cool idea, there’s an audience for it, and that now is the right time for it. Then it’s over to my many wonderful colleagues who turn a successful pitch into a real product.”     What’s Next? ➡️   “The upcoming D&D Starter Set: Heroes of the Borderlands. Our team have done a wonderful job creating the most approachable onboarding experience ever, that teaches D&D through play, and the box is packed with content for hours of fun!”
