In Honduras, Ana* walks to school knowing lunch will be there. This is the case in communities worldwide. Rise Against Hunger meals served through school feeding programs enable children to focus on learning rather than worrying about when their next meal will be. These programs are possible because volunteers — like you — choose to spend their time packaging meals with us. Meals that travel thousands of miles to become daily nutrition, educational stability and community strength. Every hour you volunteer becomes someone's certainty. Every packaged meal becomes a family's peace of mind. If you're interested in hosting a meal packaging event, check out the next steps to make it happen this fall: https://hubs.ly/Q03LnN-y0 *Name has been changed.

"The meals have made a really big impact on us. It is like being in a different classroom. We have felt different." — Keydi, age 10 High in the Comayagua mountains of Honduras, Keydi and her brother Oslin walk to school each morning with one certainty: there will be a meal waiting for them. That simple assurance transforms everything — giving them the energy to focus in class, the nourishment to grow strong and healthy and the freedom to dream. Today, Keydi dreams of becoming a teacher. Oslin hopes to serve his country. And it’s those dreams — the ones made possible by a full stomach and a hopeful heart — that inspire us every day and remind us of the importance of our mission. Want to see the difference a meal can make? 🍽️ On our recent trip to Honduras, we met students who once struggled to stay awake in class — now they’re leading discussions with confidence. We met with families whose dinner tables, once uncertain, are now filled with conversations about big dreams and future careers. Today, Maggie Luckadoo, Rise Against Hunger's Senior Director of Marketing & Communications, takes us beyond the data in Honduras to show how consistent, nutritious meals create the stability communities need to build bright futures. Watch this video to find out more! This is what rising against hunger TOGETHER truly means. Stay tuned on our social to see more stories from Honduras and around the world!
