Project Completion Announcement: OER’s Lead by Example team, in collaboration with Lincoln Public Schools, has recently completed an LED lighting installation at both the Saylesville and Northern Elementary Schools. This project installed new LED lighting with integrated controls throughout both elementary schools. The new lighting will improve illumination throughout the building, reduce energy usage, and contribute to achieving the Act on Climate goals. Expected benefits include over $177,00 in lifetime energy bill savings and 695 metric tons of CO2 emissions avoided. This initiative was funded through proceeds from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI), with Lead by Example providing technical and project management support throughout.
