Congratulations to Megan Almrayatee, Director of Disability Inclusion at Relay, and her team for receiving the Award for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access in recognition of the strong partnership with the highlight our partnership with the Oregon Department of Human Services Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program. This award honors the team’s person-centered, compassionate approach to supporting people with disabilities on their employment journey. “Relay Resources has set an inspiring standard in promoting equity and inclusion through their compassionate and person-centered approach to employment services for VR participants. Team Relay showed up strong at the PDX People Awards! 🎉 We’re proud to share that three of our incredible team members were recognized for their outstanding airport contributions! They were celebrated for their service, teamwork and leadership across the airport community at a recent Quarterly Awards Luncheon, hosted at PDX Airport Headquarters. 👏 Dainya Morgan – Support Services Award winner for consistently going above and beyond to ensure reliability and high standards. 👏 Charity Fenley – Celebrated as part of the Team Award for their collaborative spirit alongside Port of Portland colleagues during high-volume operations. 👏 Ash Torgerson – Named this quarter’s Safety Champion for a strong commitment to workplace safety and proactive problem-solving. It was an inspiring moment of community and recognition - made even more special by kind words from Dan Pippenger, Chief Aviation Officer at the Port of Portland, who acknowledged Relay’s OUTSTANDING janitorial service. 🗣️ "I just want to give a shoutout to Relay. I see the work that you do every day and I appreciate it." - Dan Pippenger, Port of Portland ⭐️ Please join us in congratulating these three for their commitment and contributions to keeping America's Best Airport sparkling clean! #EmployeeExcellence #DisabledWorkforce #DisabilityInclusion #WorkplaceInclusion #AccessibleWorkplace #RelayResources #TeamRelay #pdx

A small act of kindness goes a long way. Special thanks to Janitorial Team member Effrenia for reuniting this little one with his stuffie, Bear, at the Tillamook County Creamery Association play area. Our Janitorial Team at the Port of Portland PDX Airport works hard to keep the busy airport tidy, one lost stuffie at a time. Thanks for sharing your experience, Tucker! #TeamRelay Thought you'd appreciate this story: Kayla Beck Julia Jenkins Melle Julia Fedor Maeve Selin Mark Galardo Jennifer Bridie John Xydous Elizabeth Parker Austin Blythe
I wanted to share a quick story of kindness at PDX airport this weekend: My 3-year-old son, who is autistic, has a very strong attachment to his stuffed bear, “Bear” (we’re very creative, I know 😊). While playing in the Tillamook Bus play area at PDX, he accidentally tossed Bear over the back wall into a space ~10 feet down with no easy access, just a few minutes before we needed to board for our flight. That’s when Efrenia, an employee with Relay Resources at PDX, noticed what happened. She paused her regular work, rushed to a nearby office, found the right keys, and came back just in time to rescue Bear. What could have been a heartbreaking moment for my son turned into one of relief and gratitude. I want to publicly thank Efrenia for going above and beyond. People like her make a real difference and reflect so well on both Relay Resources and PDX as a whole. Tagging: Relay Resources, Dr. Jennifer Camota Luebke, Ed.D., MBA, Portland International Airport (PDX) (Teams tagged, feel free to DM me if you’d like Efrenia’s full details.)
