Last week, Primient hosted the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology (NSCEB) on Emerging Biotechnology at our Decatur, IL facility as part of the commission's Biotech Across America Roadshow. We were thrilled to highlight our site’s biomanufacturing capabilities for attendees who are invested in the growth of the bioeconomy. Commissioner Paul Arcangeli and Senator Tammy Duckworth joined industry leaders and innovators for a roundtable at the Integrated Bioprocessing Research Laboratory, where our team—Tim Fowler, Ismael Nieves, Eric Lee and Mark Palmer—shared how Primient is advancing biomanufacturing in Central Illinois. Primient is committed to supporting the bioeconomy through innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. Thanks to all our guests for a great tour and productive conversation.

Primient’s annual Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) Training Day was recently held at the Asmark Institute Agricenter in Bloomington, IL. Our Grain team from 13 grain elevators across Illinois and Indiana had the opportunity to collaborate, strengthen skills, and engage in hands-on training. At every Primient location, our teams are #RootedIn service! Most recently, a group of volunteers at our Dayton, OH facility packed 256 senior boxes for the Dayton Foodbank. These meals will be distributed to low-income seniors during drive-thru events or be delivered to local assisted living centers. Our longtime partnership with the Dayton Foodbank has involved volunteering, food drives, and supporting the nonprofit’s compost program. Earlier this year, Primient was recognized as the organization’s Partner of the Year, a true honor. We look forward to many more opportunities to make a difference in Dayton together!

As we approach #LaborDay weekend in the U.S., we pause to recognize the dedication, resilience, and achievements of workers across the country—and especially those who make Primient’s mission possible every day. Labor Day is a tribute to the labor movement and the pursuit of fair wages, safe conditions, and opportunity. At Primient, we’re inspired by this legacy and guided by the belief that no matter how far we’ve come, there’s always room to grow. Here’s to celebrating progress, reflecting on accomplishments, and setting bold goals for the season ahead. Wishing everyone a safe and restorative Labor Day.
