Exploring User Perceptions of Autoinjectors at PDA Universe 2025 Join our co-presenters, Gemma Wood, MBA, CMgr, Director, Platform Management, and Amanda Tilles, Human Factors Engineering Manager, as they present “A Study of Factors Impacting User Perceptions of Reusable and Disposable Autoinjectors,” at the upcoming PDA - Parenteral Drug Association Universe of Pre-Filled Syringes and Injection Devices Conference on Tuesday, October 21. This research explores how patients and healthcare professionals perceive the ease of use and overall preference of different autoinjector types — including single-use disposable, reusable electromechanical and reusable mechanical devices — and how exposure influences their preferences. We look forward to connecting with peers and advancing conversations around user-centric innovation in drug delivery! Expanding Therapeutic Targets for Injection and Inhalation Our Chief Scientific Officer, Geraldine Venthoye, recently joined Tom von Gunden on the Supplier Horizons webcast to discuss evolving approaches in drug delivery within Healthcare 5.0. She examined the formulation and delivery challenges of novel therapeutics including complex biologics—such as vaccines, immunotherapies, and cell and gene therapies—highlighting opportunities for higher payload delivery systems including developments in autoinjectors to handle higher viscosity and volume and dry powder inhalers delivering higher doses. Geraldine also shared insights on the growing potential for patient-friendly, portable, self-administered devices that could support more flexible care settings beyond traditional hospitals. Taking time out to give back, our global leaders swapped laptops for paintbrushes during their annual strategic planning meeting. The Global Management Team reserved time in their annual summit to volunteer at Camp St. Croix, a day camp near the Phillips Medisize headquarters in Hudson, Wisconsin. The team finished benches and tables for a new gathering space at the camp, living our culture of stewardship and enjoying global teamwork in the summer sun. We are passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients around the world, and for people in our own communities.
