  • ⚡Navigating Energy Policy: Data Centers, AI, and the New Grid Reality⚡ Electric power demand in the U.S. is shifting — fast. What was once a stable or even shrinking load is now being upended by AI, cloud computing, domestic manufacturing “reshoring,” and broad electrification. In 2023, data centers consumed about 4.4% of America’s electricity; forecasts now project that will soar to 6.7%–12% by 2028. States, utilities, and power producers are working to develop solutions that balance economic growth with the challenges of increased demand, costs, environmental concerns, and land use conflicts. Our latest blog, written by Taylor Beis, Vice President of Energy Policy, and Juan G., Senior Manager of Energy Policy at Stateside Associates, breaks down how states are legislating, regulating, and zoning to meet the moment, and what that means for businesses in energy, infrastructure, AI, and beyond. 👉 Read the full blog here: https://lnkd.in/giveCv_Y 📬 Stay ahead every week: Sign up for This Week in Energy, our insider newsletter on legislative, regulatory, and market developments shaping the future of U.S. energy: https://lnkd.in/eQHVay7 #EnergyPolicy #InfrastructurePolicy #DataCenters #EnergyDemand #GridModernization
