We’re feeling good this Friday looking at the photos from our first ever Sargento Family Festival!🎡 A big ‘Thank you’ in the sky created by drones summed up the experience which was all about showing our retirees and employees and how much we appreciate them and what they do for our company and each other. It's National Truck Driver Appreciation Week and we're giving our long-time CDL Driver, Duaine Conrad, the spotlight because he has earned national recognition. Duaine earned an honorable mention from the National Private Truck Council's 2025 Hall of Fame for his 5 million safe miles! The organization's president Gary Petty said this of Duaine: "In his 40 years of driving, Duaine is to be commended for having achieved a record of more than 5 million miles of safe driving. Of course, we recognize that he couldn’t accomplish this remarkable driving record without a daily commitment to be the best he can be, to know and understand all of the FMCSA Safety Regulations, to comport himself with professionalism and courtesy in the most demanding situations, and to communicate respectfully with all members of the Sargento Transportation team – dispatchers, safety personnel and customers." We’re the Official Cheese of the Green Bay Packers and as the season gets underway, for the first time ever, our CEO Louie Gentine has a Lions fam on his team: our new CFO Robert Walmsley. Bob joined the #SargentoFamily a few months ago from Kellanova. Louie is a Packers fan through and through, and has a longstanding friendly rivalry with our COO Michael Pellegrino who cheers for the Bears. Now, as the first Lions fan on Louie’s team, Bob has been added to the mix and they’re declaring their own friendly wager for the upcoming game this Sunday. Although our leaders root for rivals on the field, they make a great team where it matters most: building value for our stakeholders. Time is the most valuable thing we have and Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Sal Frelick chose to spend his time with the #SargentoFamily and 100 children Thursday. He got his arms painted, passed out popsicles and chatted with neighborhood kids who come to Merrill Park for lunch during the summer. This was our 2nd annual ’Double Helping for Hunger’ day of action. As a family-owned food company, feeding people is one of the key ways we support our community. For every double the #Brewers hit, we donate $200 to Hunger Task Force - nearly $350,000 since it began in 2018.
